Wherever life takes you – we’re here every step of the way and we’ll show you where to start.
Investia Financial Services Inc. is a wholly owned subsidiary of Industrial Alliance Insurance and Financial Services Inc., a life and health insurance company founded in 1892 that operates under the trade name iA Financial Group.
iA Financial Group offers, either directly or through its subsidiaries, a complete range of life and health insurance products, savings and retirement plans (RRSP, TFSA, etc.), mutual and segregated funds, securities, auto and home insurance, mortgage and car loans and other financial products and services.

There is a form called a T2033 that allows you to move your investments in-kind or in-cash from one institution to another without liquidating the portfolio. This allows it to stay registered (as an RRSP or a TFSA) and still move.
Withdrawing money is as easy as sending us an email or giving us a call. Our team will submit everything that is required and the money will be in your account within 24-48 hours.
It’s impossible to predict the market and it’s out of your (and our) control. We recommend focusing on the future and your long term investment. The key is to stay diversified and stick to your strategy in order to build your wealth.
Investia Financial Services Inc. is Stiller Financial’s mutual funds dealer. They watch all of our activities and ensure that we are compliant. They are owned by Industrial Alliance who is a publicly traded company on the TSX.
I am qualified to sell mutual funds and insurance products in the provinces of Newfoundland and Labrador and Ontario. I am also a Certified Financial planner.
Each investment has what is called a Management Expense Ratio (MER). The MER fluctuates and is more expensive in certain investments and less expensive in others. Typically it is broken down into two components. Half of the MER stays with the investment firm to ensure that they are managing the stocks, paying for the transactions, paying taxes, doing research and the other half of the MER is with the distributor to be the dealer of the investment, to give you financial advice, and to help build you a financial plan. There is a way to convert this MER into a fee so that it might be tax deductible for non-registered investments. Please contact your accounting professional for more information.
We are different from banks because we have access to a larger range of funds and products. We are able to analyze and decide which funds are best for our Clients based on performance over time. Banks are obligated to use their own products, so they have less exposure to what is available. Stiller Financial works to understand the needs of each individual Client instead of seeing them as a number, and we offer an objective, critical approach to fund selection and portfolio diversification on a Client-to-Client basis.
